Arenal Hanging Bridges
Admire from high above the canopy the tropical lush forest
Arenal Hanging Bridges is by far one of the greatest eco touristic projects of Costa Rica, where you can admire the exuberant primary tropical forest while treking on its 3.1 kilometers of trails in an environment that is surrounded by nature.
This beautiful reserve is comprised of almost 250 hectares of protected forest and will let you admire the forest from different perspectives as you will enjoy the views as you walk along the path. Some of the bridges include the Tyra bridge, which is 98 meters long and the Waterfall bridge that is 60 meters of the ground, letting you have a nice aerial view of the canopy.
This tropical paradise is home to over 200 species of birds, including the White Hawk, the Great Curassow, Rufous tailed Jacamar, The Black throated Trogon, just to mention a few. On the reserve you may also see the vast diversity of reptiles like the famous Glass frog or the beautiful poison dart frog. Also mammals are common inhabitants of the the hanging bridges reserve. Some of the most easily seen are the Howler Monkeys, Spider Monkeys, Tyras, Coatimundis, Three-toed Sloths, White-collared Peccary.
All in all the hanging bridges are a must do!
